* At 10:02 PM Tuesday the stage was 15.8 feet
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.5 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 15.7 feet
by after midnight tomorrow.
At 16.0 feet, Flooding begins along River Road in Mattawamkeag and
Lancaster Road in Kingman..

The National Weather Service in Caribou Maine has extended the
* Flood Advisory for...
Snowmelt in...
North central Penobscot County in east central Maine...
* Until 430 PM EDT Wednesday.
* At 415 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported snowmelt causing
minor flooding along the East Branch of the Penobscot River and
near the Grindstone area downstream from the Grand Lake Matagamon
Dam.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, Grand Lake Matagamon
and Grindstone.
* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
