Details:
* WHAT...Visibility less than one quarter mile in dense fog.

* WHERE...Northwest Aroostook, Northeast Aroostook, Northern
Somerset, Northern Piscataquis, Northern Penobscot, Southeast
Aroostook and Central Piscataquis Counties.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibilities will vary rapidly over short
distances tonight.

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.

Details:
A period of moderate to heavy rain is expected through Friday as
low pressure moves up the coast. The rain will fall on a primed
snowpack leading to significant melt. The combination of rain and
snowmelt will increase flows in rivers and streams, some of which
could reach critical levels.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, west central, and
western Maine, including the following areas, in Maine, Central
Interior Cumberland. In south central Maine, Coastal Waldo,
Interior Waldo, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc and Southern
Somerset. In southwest Maine, Androscoggin and Coastal Cumberland.
In west central Maine, Central Somerset. In western Maine,
Interior Cumberland Highlands, Southern Franklin and Southern
Oxford.

* WHEN...Through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
